For the ministry of the City of Peace. 1842.

Concerns the kind of clothing to be worn by Shaker brothers and sisters "as [they] go up to the Feast of the Lord, or attend to Her Holy passover." The men were to wear whiet trousers with blue buttons, sky blue jackets with gold buttons, a white silk handkerchief tied about the neck, white shoes, and a silver colored hat. The women were to wear "a gown of heavenly brightness, ... silver colored shoes, ... a fine muslin cap, ... also a pretty colar [sic] & handkerchief for the neck." These descriptions are perhaps metaphors.
